Inclusion at Graham School: Growing, Learning, and Achieving Together

At Graham School, we are deeply passionate about fostering a respectful and inclusive community where we champion equality, celebrate diversity, and ensure that every young person can live life in all its fullness. Following our successful Ofsted inspection in February 2026—which confirmed that our provision meets the expected national standards—we are aggressively driving forward to establish a "strong" benchmark. We are doing this by continually broadening our dynamic and responsive curriculum offer to improve the life chances and social capital of all learners. 

For us, inclusion is not a reactive measure; it is a proactive, daily commitment to high-quality pastoral and academic care. To ensure our pupils get the right support at the right time, our multi-disciplinary Inclusion Team works via an integrated framework with a proactive approach: Inclusion will only be successful if the Team around the family are all supportive.

  • Holistic Oversight: The team strategically unites specialists across Attendance, Safeguarding, SEND, and Behaviour to eliminate barriers to learning. 
  • The Three-Weekly Cycle: Through a rigorous, rotating weekly schedule, the team collaborates to systematically monitor, track, and evaluate targeted interventions. 
  • Data-Driven Impact: This continuous cycle ensures that reasonable adjustments and bespoke support plans are dynamically adapted, empowering every student to build resilience, confidence, and long-term academic success. 

Our provision features a host of key onsite support, highly effective interventions recognised by Ofsted, including:

  • The Regulation Room: Providing crucial emotional and behavioural support.
  • The Intervention Centre: Driving academic progress and focused learning.
  • ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant): Supporting daily emotional and mental well-being.
  • Nurture curriculum to develop transition between key stage 2 and 3
